Resurrection Celebration: Easter at Woodlands Auditorium

Resurrection Celebration: Easter at Woodlands Auditorium
Sunday, April 01, 2018, 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Location: Woodlands Auditorium, 1101 DeSoto Blvd, Hot Springs Village, AR US 71909

This year, we will celebrate 25 years of having Easter at The Woodlands Auditorium. Our service will be on April 1st at 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM. The choir is learning some new music that enhances the theme of “Resurrection Celebration.” Rebecca Seewald will be with us again as guest soloist and Pastor Jim Neal and I will be sharing the duties of presenting the Easter message.  The whole service is being designed around the celebration theme with the continued standard of excellence that has identified this event through the years.

Over the last 25 years the Easter service has been the first introduction to some future members who came back to a service and liked the fellowship of VBC. Let’s pray that this will be the case once again this year and that people will come to know the Lord because of this effort.

Holy week will also include a Cross service on Wednesday Night March 28th at 6:00 PM. This service should be included in your weekly schedule to prepare you for the Easter Service. It will include more new music, a devotional thought and communion built around the events of the crucifixion before the triumphant day of resurrection.

Your help is most important. There will be an opportunity for you to sign up for a role for the  Easter service or in preparation for the day. The Creative Arts Ministry is requesting artwork around the theme and your poems for a poetry booklet will be welcomed as well. While we are sending invitations to the community, the one that counts is your personal invitation  to friends, neighbors, relatives and associates. It might even be productive to offer to pick them up with an invitation to lunch afterwards. We will also have a cookie reception between services and will need you to bring those Celebration Cookies. Please remember to pray for all the pieces of the service and for those who will be there on that day.

It has been exciting planning for this day and I am expecting it to be a memorable time in the life of Village Bible Church.

You don’t want to miss it,

Pastor Levan
