Women's Ministry

Purpose:

To provide the ladies of VBC opportunities to serve our Lord and Savior, each other, and our community; to grow as Godly women as we learn more about Him; and to gather together for fellowship and prayer. The Women's Ministry team's guiding verse is 1 Peter 4:11b: If anyone serves he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.

Ministry Opportunities:

We are always looking for women to help with or lead the fellowships that Women's Ministry sponsors each year. If interested in helping with a fellowship, please contact the church office, 501-922-0404.


The Hour of Prayer:

This prayer group meets weekly on Thursday mornings from 10:30-11:30 in the church parlor. All prayer warriors are invited. 


Women's Fellowships:

Each year the Women's Ministry hosts multiple fellowships to bring the women of the church and surrounding community together to enjoy each other through various activities. 


A Healthy Move class has been described as a lifeline and "a place to come meet your new best friends."  Designed to help women transition into a new phase of their lives, this class will address emotional, spiritual, social and physical needs associated with changes.  The cozy atmosphere encourages interacting with others while learning about each other, our community, and the Bible.  The group will have lunch together - brown bag, potluck and dining out.  Field trip(s) are planned.  Two yearly classes are offered:  February (spring class) or September (fall class).  Each class is 9 weeks and meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. - noon.  Register NOW for the fall class.  501-922-0404.  Registrations for next class will be in September, 2023.

2023 LIGHTNING STUDIES -- No Homework - No Workbook - No Cost - Seven independent studies will be offered beginning Wednesdays, June 21 through August 2. Classes are at 10am-11:30am. Come to all seven or as many as you like. All you need is your Bible, pencil, and papger. Register by contacting the class leader. And bring a friend!

Women In God's Service is a sewing ministry providing handmade items needed by various community support agencies. 
Women's Bible Studies: 

Bible studies are offered in the Spring and Fall. These studies cover a myriad of topics from a variety of authors. 

Hurting Moms

A group of mothers who have children who are estranged from their families, struggle with addiction or have chosen an alternative life style. We support each other through sharing, prayer, and friendship. If you're a mother who is hurting and doesn't have anyone to share your heart with, let this group wrap their arms around you. 

 

Ladies Summer Book Club
Ladies reading three non-fiction Christian books throughout the summer months and then getting together for a lively discussion.
