Men's Retreat 2020

The Fall Men's retreat will be held at Village Bible Church on Saturday, October 17 with the speaker filling the pulpit on Sunday Morning the 18th. The theme for the weekend will be "Leaving a Legacy". The Saturday morning session will start at 10:00AM with Elsen Portugal leading the men in worship. Saturday evening the wives are invited to attend the service and Premier Sound will present a mini-concert.

The speaker for the weekend will be Robert J. Morgan who is the teaching pastor of The Donelson Fellowship in Nashville, Tennessee, where he has served for over 40 years. Rob has appeared on numerous television and radio shows. He speaks widely at churches, conferences, and corporate events and conducted conferences for mission groups in Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. He has lectured frequently at Fackelbarana, the Torchbearer's School in Holsybrunn, Sweden.

Born in Elizabethton, TN, saved in childhood and called to ministry while a teenager, Rob is a graduate of Columbia International University, Wheaton College, MA Luther Rice Seminary, Atlanta (MDiv) and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Columbia International University. He was married for 43 years to Katrina Polvinen Morgan, who passed away from Multiple Sclerosis in November of 2019.

Rob is a best-selling , gold-Illuminations, and gold-medallion winning writer with more than 35 books in print and approximately 5 million copies in circulation in multiple languages. Some of the books he has written you might recognize are "Red Sea Rules", "Then sings my soul" volumes 1 & 2 which are hymns and their stories, as well as Pastor's resources and illustration books and devotional studies.
